This tutorial shows you how you can manage rights on your AdEx account. The privileges allow you to grant or remove access to the AdEx account for other wallets. E.g. you can grant access to the Metamask wallet of your co-worker who also needs to use the account and they can then simply log in to the same account using Metamask.
You are able to choose between the following privileges: None, User or Owner. Here's what they mean:
None: Removes all privileges from an account, including the ability to log in and access the account.
User: Users can deposit into the account, create new ad slots/ad units and observe the account (read-only).
Owner: Owners can create new ad slots/ad units; create new campaigns; assign account privileges; deposit funds into the account and withdraw from the balance.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please tread carefully with Account Privileges. If you enter your own identity address for AdEx and select None, your will permanently lose access to the account, as well as any data or funds on it.
Here's how to set up account privileges:
Step1: In your dashboard, click on Account in the bottom left corner, then choose Advanced and click on "Account Privileges".
Step 2: Enter the wallet address you want to give privileges to and select one of three options detailed earlier on depending on your needs. The wallet address could be a colleague's MetaMask address e.g.
Step 3: Once you are 100% sure the wallet address and the chosen privilege are correct, click on Continue.
Step 4: Double-check the information on the next page and click on Proceed if everything is correct. You will be charged a small network fee to confirm the transaction.
Step 5: You will see a confirmation that you have set account privileges successfully. That's that - you're all set now!
We also recommend that the person whose MetaMask address you have authorized log out and then log back into MetaMask to ensure that the changes have been applied before attempting to log in to the AdEx Account.
