In programmatic advertising, each impression comes with a 'bid floor', which is the minimum price that must be paid for that specific impression. Normally, if the minimum CPM set for a campaign exceeds this bid floor, AdEx won't bid on the impression. However, with aggressive bidding, AdEx automatically bids the campaign’s minimum CPM, ensuring the impression is won at the lowest price the advertiser is willing to pay.
For example, if the campaign's minimum CPM is set at $3 and the maximum at $7, but the bid floor for an impression is $1.5, AdEx won’t place a bid. With aggressive bidding, however, AdEx will bid $3 to secure the impression, resulting in more impressions but slightly increasing overall ad spend.
